extended vehicle warranties?
we bought extended on both vehicles when we purchased them.The warranties exspire after 70,000 miles,BUT you can't have your money back till the the months run out.The warranties where for 70,000 miles OR 84 months is what we were told when we purchased the vehicles and never used the warranty.Now we were told the company only returns your money when the months are used up.So we have to wait two years to get our money even though the warranty is exspired.Is
there anyone out there that can help me?The warranty on the other vehicle we purchased in 2005 is the same way.We have never heard of this before.We were NOT told this when we purchased the vehicles.We were told which ever came first,the milage or the 7yrs.I called the dealership and talked to them about it and was told it use to be that way,but not anymore.He tells his customers either or the mileage or months.Please help me.Thank You
These things are a rip-off... it is all in the small print. The dealers sell them without giving you the real details - ESPECIALLY all the minutia of stuff you HAVE to do to get your money back - and timing is CRITICAL!
I did the same and have filed the paperwork and check it often... If you miss a window (usually 30 days) from the experation of whichever is defined by even a day - you are out the money, plus you have to jump through hoops to get it back.
There is probably NO ONE that can help you - the companies that overwrite these policies have paid lawyers well to make their end TIGHT...

Re-read ALL the small print and make use you FOLLOW it to a 'T'... do EVERYTHING that it says you must... miss one thing and you'll never see any cash or have any legal recourse...

Generally they are not worth the money.
