If you do the work yourself or depend on a professional technician, getting your vehicle in shape now undo the damage for winter driving and stay safe on the road this season.
- 1. Remove clutter from your car. Vacuum the carpet Windex the windows, clean the headlights with a soft damp cloth. Wash and wax your vehicle to remove salt and dirt of winter and protect the finish. 2. Cooling system (radiator): wash and fill according to instructions from the service manual. The level, condition and concentration of the coolant should be checked periodically. Important: first Instead let the engine cool before removing the radiator cap. 3. Skip oil changes can greatly reduce your vehicle's life's. Change oil and oil filter as specified in your owner manual. Make sure to properly dispose of used oil. Replace other filters (air, fuel, PCV, etc.) as recommended in your service manual. 4. Check your tires, including the spare. Allow to cool before checking their pressure. Uneven wear, cupping, vibration, or pulling to one side indicates problems with your tires or suspension system. 5. For safety and convenience, inspect all lights and bulbs, and replace those who are burned. 6. Replace worn windshield wipers and always have plenty of washer solvent on hand to combat dust and insects summered. Read manual and follow its owner hours of service.

buy a car without a warranty ... Is that correct?
I am looking at buying a Scion xA from a dealer of used cars. This is a '04 with low miles and no accidents (very nice too). The guy said he can still have a powertrain warranty, but said probably not. Is this a safe buy? I imagine Toyota would have little difficulty, but again, not sure, everyone makes a lemon once in a while. Is there any one who can guarantee if you do buy now thanks one?!
