I read the poor reviews and assumed I had a 50/50 chance of pulling out the dent. I could see this pulling out a dent on a cheaply made car with thin steel panels, but if you are driving a decent automobile, this is a waste of money. The steel most modern car panels are made out of are too strong for this glue gun contraption. You will just end up disappointed with this purchase.

Not a convenient tool

I bought this product few weeks back. I have few dents on my car. I spent MANY hours on this to fix the dent. Still I could not clear the dents. I have followed the steps exactly as mentioned. It requires lot of practice and skills to achieve desired results. Moreover if you do not have your personal Garage, it will be a nightmare to heat the glue gun and take to car immediately.Damm with this product!!! Sheer waste of time.KK

I was reading these bad reviews and keep thinking - what is wrong with you people, that is not even funny - you don't know how to use a glue gun, don't know how easy to take glue out by using the alcohol... What did you expect from this thing - a miracle ? It does what it does. Of course, it cannot restore and make it smooth how it use to be before - but it does the job - it could pull the dent. If that is what you need - this tool is good enough. Be aware - if you are not careful - it can make another, new dent...

Outstanding product

For 20$ and with lots of patience, you can remove 90% of the dent. I successfully removed two large ones after 7+ attempts. The Paint less dent removal (PDR) shop here quoted 550$. I am happy, I got it done for 20$. Here are some information you need to be aware of:1) Apply correct amount of glue (Enough to cover holes but not too much over flowing) 2) Wait for 8 minutes for the glue to cure 3) Repeat the procedure for several times at different places 4) Clean surfaces with Alcohol thoroughly. 5) This may not remove 100% of the dent, but close to it.

Las herramientas y materiales funcionan correctamente pero todo depende del tipo de bollo, de su ubicación y de la chapa.En mi caso, sólo 2 salieron completamente. El resto quedaron uno poco más disimulados pero siguen estando. Tal vez habría que intentar más de una vez...Yo recomendaría el Dent Out pero no esperen a que su auto quede como nuevo.

Here's the bottom line with this product - Don't expect a miracle. I had (or should I say I "have") a dent on the right rear passenger door of my 2009 Infiniti G37. I purchased this product (after reading the reviews just like you) and hoped for the best. The dent was NOT a round or circular dent - it was a horizontal line, about two inches long. Not very deep, but noticeable. Well, upon the first attempt, the kit did pull out the dent ever so slightly. Subsequent "pulls" resulted in no further correction. So, bottom line is I think you'd be lucky to have real success with this thing. Like everything else in life, you get what you pay for. I rated it a 2 because it did seem to pull out the dent just a little bit on the first pull, but it didn't do what you see on the videos that are out there for this product. My recommendation - if you have a few bucks you can waste (kinda like playing the lottery), go ahead give it a try - maybe you'll have more success than me. If you drive an upscale car and the dent really bothers you, take it to a pro and have it knocked out (like I'm going to now, lol).

Glue does not hold

I followed the instructions exactly as written but was unable to get either glue supplied with the kit to adhere to the surface of the vehicle sufficiently. In the process of pulling a nickle-sized dent the glue would part company with the vehicle with very little force applied. I had cleaned the surface with the supplied release agent, allowing it to completely dry - no dice. I even when so far as to lightly sand the clear coat and clean again with the release agent in an effort to get either glue to adhere long enough to budge the dent. Nothing worked. The glue stuck to the business end of the puller just fine. Working temperature of the vehicle surface was about 70oF.

Effective, but with a big flaw

This is pretty good for removing dents, as other reviewers have commented. I would say it removes about 80% of a dent. It is better at removing circular dents than vertical dents though. There is also one big drawback... While the actual dent removal is quick, cleaning the glue from the rubber pulling nib afterwards is difficult and very time consuming, even after applying the release agent. I spent far more time just trying to get the glue off than in actually removing dents! What's worse, the yellow glue (for use between temperatures of 55 and 75 degrees) has a tendency to stick to the car surface itself, requiring a round of elbow grease to remove. Don't use this if you are queasy about your car's paint! The red glue (for use between 75 and 90 degrees) is easier to work with. Now if they could make the pulling nibs disposable and include a few dozen of them in the package, that would be a very worthwhile improvement to this product.

It actually works!

In the past year I think people have been using my Honda Ridgeline for target practice with carts at the supermarket. For some reason I have collected a large assortment of small dents in a short period of time. So after seeing a commercial for a similar product on TV, I went to trusty Amazon and decided to look at reviews for products like this. I really didn't think it was going to work and bought one just to try. Well, it took several months before I got around to using it since I fully expected it to be a waste of time, and to my amazement it works! It is fast and easy. I tried it on the first dent and when I peeled away the adhesive, there was no longer a dent. So I went to the second dent..same results. Same for the third, forth and fifth. Only one dent can still be noticed when the light is right, but I don't think I would notice it if I didn't know where to look. I was very happy with this item.

Best Dent Puller Ever

This puller worked so well. Someone hit my car Honda Civic in a parking lot and didn't leave a note. I was left with a large melon sized dent one the front corner of the passenger side bumper. I tried other dent pullers but they were not strong enough or they weren't flexible enough to get a good grip. I took the car to a local place to get an estimate; they said I needed a new bumper which would cost around $500. After about 6-7 tries I was able to get the dent out of my car. This item is worth every penny for bigger dents.

Super Duper Dent Puller

I bought this product after the Ding King failed :( It was was a softball sized dent in my sister's Sunfire door. In two seconds, the majority of the dent was out. Just a few tiny dents and creases remain (which the Ding King still can't fix). It was definitely worth the money though.

Works as expected, but need strength

I got a huge dent on side of my door and tried using this product to fix it, or at least make it look better. I got some of the dent out and still working on rest of it. Meanwhile, few issues/tips.1. You definitely need a good amount of strength to use this! Also, wearing gloves help since it puts a lot of strain on your fingers as you're pulling with all your might (in my case anyway). 2. The dent doesn't come out at once in my experience. So, you have to use it several times to get it out. 3. Clean the surface of the dent for better suction. I haven't tried it yet, but slightly dampening might improve the suction as well.

this dent puller pulled my dent out in 2 seconds i couldnt stop smiling from it and im glad i invested every penny into it. i advise anyone to buy this for medium to large dents, but not small, but other than that its awesome! TWO THUMBS UP! =)

Doesn't work for small dents

The dent needs to be big for this to work at all, like one made by a kick on a car door. I bought this to remove small dents on the stainless steel refrigerator, and I didn't see how this could possibly work on those. Then I tried this on a large dent on my car. It worked, but the surface wasn't nearly as smooth as before the dent. Maybe I expected too much. It looks a lot nicer though.

I bought this set of tools to install a Parrot bluetooth handsfree kit for my car. Only used one tool for the job but I can see where the rest of them would come handy. Very well made... soft enough to protect surfaces and sharp enough to insert in small crevasses. I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Well made and versatile

I bought this to remove the audio system from my Honda Fit in order to install a Parrot Bluetooth system. It worked, but none of the tools were perfect for this job. They were either too small or too large and not angled quite right for this job. I did successfully remove the audio system, but left some slight marks where I used the tool. Luckily Honda left a "pull" space for the panel inside the top glove box compartment, so you would need to open the glove box and know where to look to see the marks, but if the tool had been perfect, there would be no marks at all. This is why I gave it 4 stars. The tools are made well and do work, but perhaps a "purpose" built tool would have left no marks at all. Overall, I am satisfied with this toolset and would recommend it.

These really help me with my trim removal during stereo installs and interior modifications. The best thing about them is they are very sturdy and won't scratch the paint. This is really important with some of the restoration and custom jobs that need interior work. Great product with a nice and reasonable price tag!!
