Nissan Extended Factory Warranty

i just bought a Nissan altima?

it is a 2005 with 11,500 mile still under factory warranty till 2008
should i buy the extended warranty that is 5 yrs or 60,000
the loan is for 72months

check your warranty, If i remember right nissans warranty is 3 yr 36 mile bumper to bumper, and the balance is just a powertrain (engine and transmission) if that is the case do a wrap that will cover you from bumper to bumper. If you drive a lot have them quote you what it will be to extend it all to 100k. alot of people kick them selves you know where if something does go wrong later. I had a guy once who bought a used car, didn't want the warranty and his girlfriend made him buy one. A year later his engine blew....it cost him $100. Bet she got roses that day!

If you didn't put any money down, I would suggest gap insurance too. This is a relatively cheap insurance to cover the neg equity in the car if you should be in an accident. you can get this thru your insurance company.
