Cancelling aftermarket warranty!!! REALLY NEED ADVICE!!!?

Hi Folks,

I have recently bought a new Ford vehicle and I also purschased Fidelity Extended warranty. After evaulating the contract and reading all the negative reviews online, I have decided that this warranty is worthless. Its only until 72k w/ $100 deductible. I already have the standard warraanty until 60k through Ford so I dont think there is any real need for this. I read the contract and it states that IF I cancel the warranty within 60 days I will receive 100% refund ( I am within 60 days until 18th of this month, less then a week left). It is $2000 that will be credited towards my loan. On the contract it states that I have to return the contract back to the selling dealer, so this would be my Ford dealer. My questions is, what precautions should I take to make sure I dont get screwed. Once I turn the contract back to the dealer, I will have no proof. What should I do???? Thank you all in advance.!!!

Make a copy of the contract, and give them a 10 day deadline for the acceptance notification. you shouldn't have any trouble with it, but they are salesmen and will try to talk you into keeping it, stand your ground.
