Anyone know about the service history of the new Ford Powerstroke?

I have an F450 with the 6.0 liter Powerstroke. Worst engine of all time. 51K miles on it, every injector replaced at least once, turbo hoses keep blowing off, and now head gasket blown. Lucky I have the extended warranty. Dealer says got to wait until Friday b/c there is another in the shop now with the same problem. Need to know about the new engine and its issues with service guys. I know about Dodge and Chevy (I would buy either, but they don't make a ton and a half chassis cab 4x4), but I don't have a local dealer. I live in the sticks. I am not brand loyal to anything. Please, if you just bought one and it has a few miles on it....I need some serious hard miles or a mechanic that knows it thru and thru. And no, it has never been overheated or pulled many trailer miles. Thanks in advance!!!

The 6.0L DIT engine has had numerous issues, since it's introduction in early '03. EGR valve carboning up, turbos over/underboosting due to sticking or seized up vanes on the unison ring, EGR cooler failures. The '05 and up model years have had issues with low ICP pressure due to failed high pressure pump STC fittings, and worst of all, cracked branch tubes. The 2008 F-series trucks will add a pick-up box to it's F-450 line-up. The new engine is a 6.4L with two turbos. A low pressure fixed turbo, connected to a high pressure turbo with a VGT. There are TWO EGR coolers, a fuel and turbo actuator cooler, power steering cooler, and a charge air cooler of course. Apparently, a lot of research has been done on this vehicle, prior to its scheduled release sometime in February or March of this year. 90% of the repairs, if any are needed on the 6.4L will require removal of the body to access the engine. Therefore, if you plan on purchasing one, do NOT install any equipment that will obstruct the cab from being removed. The problematic 6.0L's have been the "grocery getters". The ones that have been trouble free, are the ones that are "pushed" hard, towing heavy loads, and driven hard, believe it or not.
