Can I return the car to the dealer if I have the title, after waiting 6 months for this?
I bought my car at a dealer on Ebay 6 months ago. I have the sales receipt when I went to get the car and told me to send the remaining documents in the mail during the week. Good 6 months later and still sends me a temporary tag because he says there is a problem with the paperwork. He said he is not the title, but the representation itself. I love the car, but I'm so tired of this! Is there a way to return the car without any hassle? UCH do not know about such things, so I need any input I can get. What should I do? Incidentally, I bought the extended warranty from a local dealer where I live also, what's up with that? Help please!! Thank you!
Take your car and the bill of sale to the DMV in your area. You should also get the VIN # of the outer conductor bottom board and write it and take it with you. You can search the car for the VIN # and see what is happening in it. If I remember correctly, if you have these two, you can get another title in his name. There should not be be a problem with the documents unless you really have not yet own or have the title before the vehicle offered for sale. By law, they are obliged to take the vehicle documentation of sales transactions to the DMV for processing within 2 weeks of sale, or so it gets a penalty. The penalty is only $ 15 in my state, so really arent anything if you do within that time. But I'm guessing that you sold the car without the title, which can not do. PS Even if you buy the car from a dealer, who do not receive the title immediately. It has to be treated on its behalf by the distributor taking the paperwork to the DMV and then sent the title (DMV) and the distributor the car sends a test of RD-108 (Full receipt) and registration. I do not know about the state where you live, but here in Michigan, the banks maintain securities more. They're like a leinholder but after a vehicle is paid, then we will send you a letter stating that the vehicle is paid, it is called a release of lien.
