Okay I am about to buy an 07 camry from a small dealer. it only has 5,000 miles on it. before I took it for a test drive it did not start up as well as I believe that it should have. the dealer said it was the battery since it has been sitting on the lot. Is this true or should I walk away from the deal. It is still under bumper to bumper warrenty. and it ran very smooth!!
it just stalled a little when I tried to start it just like when ur battery is going dead.
they said that they will replace the battery and I looked them up on BBB and nothing but good responses.
where can I find the LE for 17,500 I live in california

What did the car do to raise your suspician. Do a carfax at least. Something sounds fishy about it. I have friends who work in dealerships who see this kind of thing. The dealer will still recieve a particular car that was damaged in shipment, repair it and sell it as new. Thats the bad thing about a carfax report. These things go unreported. For instance, a car came into the dealer and when offloading it, the upper ramp made contact with the roof of another car on the trailer, the damaged car was hastily taken into the body shop because the car was ordered for a specific customer. They "repaired" the roof damage and A-pillar damage and sold the car to the unsuspecting customer.

Should I suspect Frame Damage?

I have a 2004 dodge dakota,had it parked at work when it was hit by a lowboy on the left corner rear tail light and rear panel crumpled up,was dragged for 10 feet or so,lifted up at least 2 ft. when hit,bumper amazingly enough is not damaged,tailgate is damaged and the tailight completly ripped metal all peeled back.Work is paying for the repairs but am upset because the auto body shop they picked refuses to insect the frame.Before this it drove straight but now curves off to the right.The autobody shop said all I need is a wheel alignment,whats your opinion? Should I really push for a frame inspection,bodyshop is owned by bosses buddy.Still have 44,000 km left for warrenty,wil this affect it?

you need another estimate on it by another body shop,anytime one gets hard lick like that they should at least check the frame on it,if it hit it hard enough to knock it out of alignment then it had to do some frame damage,other wise why doesn't it drive right,id go back and make them re-check this,and yes it will affect the warranty on it if later on it turns out to have frame damage to it,that doesn't really make any sense why they wouldn't want to at least check it,body damage is one thing but having to get it re-aligned is another,its up to you but if it were my truck they would check it out,one way or the other,good luck with it.
