Auto Warranty Review

Is this a good buy for a certified used Honda?
$15,500 for a 2005 blue Honda Accord two-door coupe, 48,000 miles; warranty and CarFax report included, all the bells & whistles I need, including cruise and auto transmission.
I know I can get a fancy NEW Chevrolet or Ford car for that amount.
Currently have 2000 Chevy Malibu LS with 155,600 miles on it. Drive 60 miles a day round-trip, 55-60 MPH on cruise. Routine maintenance is done (oil, fluids, filters, plugs, belts, etc., etc.), with only "major" repair being water pump replaced (had gradually worn out) some 2500 miles ago. Considering buying another Chevy, but have heard nothing but rave reviews on the longevity of Hondas.
IMO I wouldn't give up on a car I own (assuming you have no payments) if it's in good shape which sounds like yours is in. Honda's do have a good rep but that doesn't mean the one your getting will be good.
Yes, I've seen Honda's go up to 300,000+ miles but I've also seen them break down at 50k as well.
In other words, I wouldn't trade a proven car for an unproven one. Unless you really just want a different car.
The deal sounds about right if it's a 4-cly engine, could be a bit cheaper. Being a "certified" car gives a little more peace of mind.
