In recent years, rumors of a pending invasion "of the U.S. consumer market for a cheap price (and cheaper), Chinese cars have emerged from occasionally.
First, Chery Automotive, a company sued by General Motors to have a name too close to Chevy, the nickname for the Chevrolet brand GM iconic. A company founded by Malcolm Bricklin, who brought the Yugo famous evil to our shores in the 1980s intended to bring these same cars Chery Stateside As recently as 2006, but the company has failed, and Mr. Bricklin is in a legal dispute with his Chinese partners.
Then, Brilliance Auto, he talked about sending their cars to the U.S. only to be publicly embarrassed when his flagship Brilliance BS6 (no kidding, that is the name of this model) not a major European crash test. Finally, the manufacturer of almost every other car in China has also promised to import their vehicles to the U.S. including some with unpronounceable names and clearly remember. Car Shine in 2009 NAIAS
Auto Show this year in Detroit (North American International Auto Show or NAIAS) featured a handful of models selected Chinese companies, but none has promised that Brilliance Auto plans to do in 2009: put their cars on the screen and start selling them the same year in the U.S..
Brilliance has announced it is sending its BS6 mid-size sedan, BS4 compact car, BC3 sports coupe, and FRV Hatchback at the 2009 NAIAS Detroit for and begin to sell their cars in the U.S. later in 2009. Moreover, company officials promise that by this December of each model appears to pass stringent U.S. safety and emissions testing.
Advice for brilliance
Although undoubtedly Brilliance congratulate for their persistence, I can offer some advice to the company before they appear in Detroit this January:
Change the name of their models - In the U.S., BS does not mean Brilliance sedan - would not be proper etiquette to explain exactly what these two letters stand for, but it has something to do with cattle dung.
Set better quality - The Federal Government will require their cars to pass U.S. tests otherwise there is no model Brilliance will be allowed to enter ports USA. Once you get that down, you need to ensure that their cars can withstand the test of time. U.S. motorists are whimsical and expect their vehicles the past without falling bumper, side panels rot or break the glass of the windshield.
Hiring a U.S. firm PR - Jobs with a U.S. public relations company which includes the domestic auto market and be willing to listen to their advice. Some of what they have to say frustrated, but be willing to make changes as needed. Hiring a crack team that writing well can translate documents from Mandarin to English perfectly. Consumers Americans just laugh at the documentation for your poorly translated.
Brilliance will Stateside success? That depends - your vehicles must be decent quality, with a sale price, and be supported by a generous warranty. You can bet that the first time that a model of Brilliance is an accident, the news teams descend to see how he resisted the accident and the damage that was done. If things go sour, YouTube could become the worst nightmare public relations for China's fledgling auto industry.

I have received a simple postcard requesting information about my car. This card asks me to call 800-number to provide some information * * That the operator has to verify my "important vehicle information security." Is this a valid request (the letter is sent to Scottsdale, AZ.) Or is this another way to get my private information marketing data)? Title Services Co. allegedly certified dealer. * This card lists my maker auto correct, but includes that this is a national outreach program. I got my car as a used car (1995) of my family in 2006.
